Carved wooden door in Stone Town, ZanzibarEvery project is chosen on the ground, together with the people it affects. They know the school without desks, the clinic without supplies, the beach buried in plastic. So your help arrives exactly where it is needed most.

You do not arrive as a tourist with good intentions, but as an expected guest with a clear purpose.

What travellers ask us

How do you choose the projects?

We visit the project sites ourselves and talk to the people there before any volunteer arrives. That way we make sure your work is needed and welcome.

Do I need experience?

For most placements, no. We prepare you and you always work with a local team. For medical tasks we agree your qualifications in advance.

How safe is Zanzibar for volunteers?

You have a local contact around the clock, a safety briefing on day one and fixed drivers. We inspect accommodation and project sites ourselves.

Which documents do I need?

A passport valid for at least six more months. We take care of visa, volunteer permit, letter of invitation and insurance.

How long is a placement?

From two weeks. Many travellers stay three to four weeks; we plan longer stays individually.

What does the journey cost?

You receive the price with your personal offer. It depends on duration, accommodation and field.
